Comparing the current and proposed drawings, I think the boat span starts 46.6m  (6 x 6.55 + 7.3) from the Raglan bank on the current bridge and 50.41m (23.6+23.31+3.5)) on the new bridge. It only looks like it moves to the town side because the new bridge extends another 35m the other way.</description>
