Footpath hazard left behind
We reported in May that Council contractors were undertaking small but much needed improvements to the footpaths around Raglan. One of these works was providing an accessible ramp at the corner of Stewart Street and Wainui Road. This work with a new concrete ramp was completed several weeks ago by contractors engaged by the Waikato District Council. While the work is complete, the boxing for the concrete remains along with dangerous steel rods poking up from ground. And next to the new ramp a pile of the old broken contract remains waiting for collection. But perhaps the pile is a permanent street art installation?
