Getting around Raglan

The shopping and cafe area of Raglan is compact, so you can easily walk around it.  Further afield you’ll need your own transport or to use the taxi, although there is a limited bus service as covered below.  The Raglan map below shows the Raglan town area around Bow Street where the Information Centre, hotel, and most of the motels, backpackers, shops and cafes are located.  This page is about Getting around Raglan, there is also a page on Getting to Raglan.

Raglan Shuttle

Parking

Parking is usally available in the streets around the Shops & Cafes area.  There is a car park next to the Fire Station in Wainui Road, just south of the Bankart St roundabout.  The Raglan Club in Bow St also has a large car park next to and behind the Club.

Bus

A limited daily bus service that runs 3 times a day and twice a day on Saturday and Sunday and public holidays is provided through a few Raglan streets [Cnr Te Hutewai and Wainui Rds, Whitely St, Norrie Ave, Bow St, Wallis St, Government Rd, Manukau St, Main Rd (SH23)] by the Route 23 bus. The adult fare is $3.30.  From November to April this service is extended to include Manu Bay and Wainui Rd.  The separate fare for this section alone is $1.00.  See maps below for routes and bus stops.

Courtesy Coaches

A few accommodation and licensed establishments provide courtesy coaches that will take you to and from their establishment for free or a low charge.

The Raglan Club provides two courtesy coaches as part of its service to members and its guests. Phone: 07-825 8288, Mobile 027 242 7172. This service is available seven days.

The YOT CLUB has a Fun Bus available before 9:30pm, just ring the YOT Club after 8:30pm and we’ll come and pick you up. We drop off after work too . Phone: 07 825 8968 Wed – Sat 20:00 – 01:00
