Community and Environment Day 2010
Community and Environment Day 2010 was held on Saturday 6th March 2010. Click here for an article on Community & Environment Day 2010. This is the day on which we celebrate our community, our children and our environment. The event is a collaborative venture between Raglan Community House, Environment Waikato and Xtreme Waste and the day is packed full of fun for young and old alike. Some of Raglan’s finest performers feature and the day culminates in the unique, and indeed famous, Recycled Raft Race. If you would like to be involved in the next one phone Raglan Community House to express your interest or find out more information.

Three or more clients are necessary for them to make the trip out but phone consultations can be arranged if there are only one or two clients. Consultations are free of charge although eligibility is dependent on income level. The areas of law covered are consumer, criminal offences, local government, debt, insurance, human rights, employment, fencing/neighbour issues, tenancy, immigration, ACC and WINZ. Family law is not covered although some initial advice or information can be provided. Phone Raglan Community House on 8258142 for more information or to make an appointment.

Drop In Lounge
There is a warm and welcoming Drop In Lounge at Raglan Community House staffed by Volunteer Hosts. We also have magazines to browse or buy and books for sale ($1.00 hard back/.50c soft back) so call in anytime Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm to see us. We are sometimes told that people don’t want to come in because they think we are having a meeting. If you see folk sitting around the table in the Lounge you can guarantee that they are just enjoying a cup of tea or their lunch so please come in and join us!
