2010 After School Clay Art Program Wood firing focus Terms 3 and 4: The next two terms of after school ceramic art classes will be focused on making work to fire in a Fast Woodfiring Kiln. The effect of the flame and soda ash on the pots or sculptures can only be achieved by firing with wood. The special construction and techniques will be taught and you will all have the opportunity to experience and add to the process of the wood firing in a safe and guided spot at the Waiakto Society of Potters in Hamilton. Both beginners and experienced are welcomed. Children 3-6 accompanied by an adult both making works $75, children 7-12 $69, Youth 13-16 $69. Classes include clay, firing and glazing. 2010 After School Clay Art Program Wood firing focus Terms 3 and 4: The next two terms of after school ceramic art classes will be focused on making work to fire in a Fast Woodfiring Kiln. The effect of the flame and soda ash on the pots or sculptures can only be achieved by firing with wood. The special construction and techniques will be taught and you will all have the opportunity to experience and add to the process of the wood firing in a safe and guided spot at the Waiakto Society of Potters in Hamilton. Both beginners and experienced are welcomed. Children 3-6 accompanied by an adult both making works $75, children 7-12 $69, Youth 13-16 $69. Classes include clay, firing and glazing.
